The 2025 International Conference on Mechanical Automation and Engineering Applications (ICMAEA 2025) was held from September 19–21, 2025, in Chongqing, China. Jointly organized by Southwest University, Eastern Mediterranean University, and the Asia Computational Intelligence Society (ACIS), and hosted by Southwest University’s College of Engineering and Technology, the conference received technical support from IEEE Robotics & Automation Society (RAS).

Under the theme “Integration · Collaboration · Low-Carbon: Towards Next-Generation Intelligent Engineering,” ICMAEA 2025 adopted a hybrid format, attracting over 400 participants from academia and industry worldwide. The program featured five keynote speeches and more than 100 technical presentations。

Keynote speakers included Prof. Chunjiang Zhao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Prof. Seiichiro Katsura, Keio University, Japan; Prof. Zhongchang Wang, Southwest University, China; Prof. Huayan Pu, Chongqing University, China; and Researcher Guangqiao Cao, Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China, who shared the latest advances in human-machine interaction systems, micro- and nano-atomic manufacturing, industrial robotics, and intelligent agricultural machinery development and industrialization.

Four specialized co-sessions—“Efficient Agricultural Machinery for Hilly Areas,” “Key Technologies of Agricultural Robotics,” “Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Automation,” and “Sensing and Risk Prevention in Power Systems”—facilitated focused discussions on cutting-edge challenges. To promote excellence, three Best Paper Awards and three Best Student Paper Awards were presented, and all accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore.

ICMAEA 2025 successfully provided a high-level platform for knowledge exchange, international collaboration, and technological innovation, advancing the future of intelligent manufacturing and low-carbon development.
